Plug-in solar kits are an easy and safe way to install solar panels at home. Although simple, they follow the same standards as any residential solar installation.

In Spain (and many other European countries), you can install systems up to 800W yourself without needing to register or certify them. To comply with regulations, you only need to install a smart meter (or a zero-export system), which prevents excess energy from being fed back into the grid.

The power output is determined by the microinverter, not the number of panels. All our kits include microinverters limited to 800W, thus complying with current regulations.

That's why these systems are known as Plug & Play solar kits: easy to install, safe and legal.

In most cases, it is not mandatory to register your plug-in solar kit if it meets the basic requirements (power less than 800 W, plug connection, and zero export system).

But there is one important exception: if you want to receive compensation for the energy you do not consume, then you will need to legalize the installation.

The regulations governing this are Royal Decree 244/2019 , designed primarily for higher power installations connected directly to the electrical panel of the home.

5. Request compensation for surpluses (optional)
   You need a contract with a supplier and legalization as self-consumption with surplus energy.
   
6. Complies with safety regulations (batteries)
   ADR compliance, fire-safe installation, technical documentation.
   
7. Obtain the CIE
   Key document issued by the authorized installer.
   
8. Keep all the documentation
   CIE, report or project, registration in Industry, distributor communication, technical data sheet of the kit.

You can send it with your transport agency or we will tell you where to deliver it.
